Brett Vaccarelli

Current board member elected in 2017, eligible for re-election in 2019

I started coaching boys lacrosse in Dublin, OH in 1998 and girls lacrosse for MYLA in 2014.  My favorite lacrosse playing memory was at Ohio State when I had the opportunity to compete against top teams including North Carolina, Notre Dame and Penn State.  Watching the growth and development of the girls that I have been able to coach through the years is something that I have enjoyed and proud to be part of.  One of my favorite memories from MYLA was winning the girls middles school 2018 Westshore League Tournament in the final seconds of play.  Beyond coaching, my goal has been to promote and grow the sport in Medina.  I was fortunate to be able to start our 1st and 2nd grade coed program three years ago which has grown rapidly with the support of the association.  The future of MYLA is bright and I am looking forward to accomplishing new things with the league including starting a more formal summer league and expanding our free clinics and programs.

Deb Talley

Member since 2016, parent of two players

This will be my 4th season as a parent of a MYLA player. I have been involved in both the boys and girls programs and have enjoyed the experience of interacting with the various teams, coaches and parents. The comradery  that develops every season between both the players and the parents is one of my favorite aspects.  Volunteering at games and during Baggataway has helped me to understand the sport and the rules of play. Over the seasons I have the seen our teams learn things that will carry them into the future; the value of effort and working hard.  The mindset of resilience and being able to rise up in the toughest of circumstances. The worth of a team and importance of every teammate.  Most of all respect – respect for the game, respect for their coach, and respect for their opponent regardless of the score. I am excited to be a part of strengthening the mission of MYLA and ensuring that the organization continues to promote our kids loving the sport while planning for the future.
